Epistles
comes from the greek word "letter", epistles are formal letters generally written for a group of people to advice or instruct them. They are found in ancient writing around the world and include a variety of topics.
Epistles
The 21 found in the bible are in the new testament and were written by the apostles to developing christain communities. Those provide instruction, encouragement and advice regarding christain life. While some were written by peter, james, john, and jude, and paul wrote 13 of the 21.
Apostle
The word "apostle" comes from the Greek word "apostolos," meaning "one who is sent out." In the New Testament, the apostles were the twelve chosen by Jesus to be his closest followers and to spread his message and start the Church after his death and resurrection.
Tradition
Tradition is the set of wise beliefs and practices obtained by living our faith over time and passed from one generation to the next with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus entrusted the Apostles to be the first generation of believers to pass beliefs and practices onto the next generation. This was done orally and in writing as well.
Apostolic Succession
The uninterrupted transmission of spiritual authority from the 12 Apostles to every single (successive) pope and bishop. This is taught and accepted by the Roman Catholic Church but denied by most Protestants.
Chi-Rho
an early Christian symbol created by placing the first two Greek letters of "Christ," Chi ( and Rho () on top of each other. It represents Jesus and serves as a monogram for his name. This symbol became very important in early Christianity, particularly after Emperor Constantine put it on his banners before a key military battle.

An official order or proclamation made by a person of authority. It can be spoken, but is usually written as a document.

False teachings about God, Jesus, salvation, the Church, and other important parts of the Christian faith. A belief or opinion contrary to religious (especially Christian)
