Digastricus
two bellied muscle slug between the inner surface of the mandible near the symphysis to the hyoid bone, then to the mastoid process of the temporal bone; function is to elevate the hyoid (and thus the larynx) when contracting together.
Stylohyoid
origin is on the styloid process of the temporal bone, coursing down and anteriorly to the hyoid bone; function is to move hyoid (and thus larynx) posteriorly and superiorly
Mylohyoid
origin is on the inner surface of the mandible, coursing fanlike to insert on the hyoid; function is to move hyoid (and thus larynx) posteriorly and superiorly
Geniohyoid
origin is on the inner surface of the mandible, coursing back and down to insert on the hyoid bone; function is to elevate the hyoid bone (and thus the larynx).
