Sensory: touch, pain, and temp in the throat, detects BP in aortic muscles, taste only for bitterness, and detects the presence of food nutrients
XI Accessory Nerve
controls sternocleidomastoid m. and trapezoid m.
XII Hypoglossal Nerve
controls tongue muscles (vocalization, chewing and swallowing)
