Cephalic
Referring to the head region.
Thoracic

Dorsal cavity
The cavity that houses the brain and spinal cord.
Ventral Cavity
The cavity that houses internal organs.
Serosa
A thin double layered membrane lining body cavities.
Pericardium
The serous membrane around the heart.
Pleura
The serous membrane around the lungs.
Peritoneum
The serous membrane in the abdominal region.
Abdominopelvic Quadrants
The divided sections of the abdominopelvic cavity.
Right Upper Quadrant
Contains parts of the liver and gallbladder.
Hypogastric region
Contains the urinary bladder.
