The internet is a great source of information and has opened up opportunities for people to learn all over the world. 

Is all information reliable on the internet? 

What could be done to control information online?

It is true that the advent of the Internet has allowed people from all corners of the world to gain access to different sources of information. This essay will argue that not all available sources are credible and then offer some solutions to this issue. 

Sự thật là sự ra đời của Internet đã cho phép mọi người từ khắp nơi trên thế giới tiếp cận với nhiều nguồn thông tin khác nhau. Bài luận này sẽ lập luận rằng không phải tất cả các nguồn thông tin có sẵn đều đáng tin cậy và sau đó đưa ra một số giải pháp cho vấn đề này.

It is undeniable that false information exists in various fields on the Internet, examples of which are politics and the healthcare sector. Regarding the former, if we look at the history of the US Presidential Election, we could see that several American political figures were accused of using online media to spread misleading narratives, thereby shaping public opinion to their advantage

Nevertheless, various measures can be taken by authorities, media corporations and individuals to address this issue of misinformation. Perhaps the most obvious approach would be for policymakers to enact new laws or strengthen existing rules that require social media websites to block false content.

Tuy nhiên, các cơ quan chức năng, các công ty truyền thông và cá nhân có thể áp dụng nhiều biện pháp khác nhau để giải quyết vấn đề thông tin sai lệch này. Có lẽ cách tiếp cận rõ ràng nhất là các nhà hoạch định chính sách ban hành luật mới hoặc tăng cường các quy định hiện hành yêu cầu các trang web truyền thông xã hội chặn nội dung sai sự thật.

Each Internet user can also be part of the solution by being vigilant in assessing the authenticity of information and by giving priority to authority websites when reading news online. 

Một điểm đáng lưu ý nữa là các công ty như Facebook nên hợp tác với chính phủ để thiết kế các hệ thống kỹ thuật và con người tốt hơn nhằm xóa các tin tức gây hiểu lầm kịp thời. Mỗi người dùng Internet cũng có thể là một phần của giải pháp bằng cách cảnh giác trong việc đánh giá tính xác thực của thông tin và ưu tiên các trang web có thẩm quyền khi đọc tin tức trực tuyến.

In conclusion, I believe that there exists inaccurate information online. However, a joint effort between public bodies, media companies and Internet users can alleviate the problem of fake news.
