Global health
Focuses on the health needs of people around the world, improving health, reducing health differences, and achieving equity in health for all people worldwide.

Maternal mortality
Fewer than 70 per 100,000 live births.
Neonatal mortality
Target to reduce neonatal mortality to 12 per 1,000 live births.
Under-5 mortality
Target to reduce under-5 mortality to 25 per 1,000 live births.
Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs)
A group of diseases that mainly occur in tropical and subtropical environments, common in countries lacking access to safe water and sanitation.
Social Protection Measures
Measures to prevent individuals and families from suffering from poverty due to crises or unexpected events, including healthcare and income security.
Poverty
Relates to deprivation of resources, measured by those living on less than US$2.15 PPP per day (extreme poverty) or less than 50% of the country's average income (relative poverty).
Clean Water
Water that is safe for human consumption, not contaminated with disease-causing pathogens or harmful chemicals.
Sanitation
The provision of facilities and services for the safe disposal of human urine and faeces.
Gender Equality
When males and females have the same opportunities in society regarding available goods and services.
Food Security
The state in which all persons obtain nutritionally adequate, culturally appropriate, safe food regularly through local non-emergency sources.
Investment in healthcare services
Increase in funding for healthcare services and qualified healthcare staff, especially in low-income countries and small island developing states.
Access to essential medicines
Providing affordable essential medicines and vaccines to populations.
Early warning and risk reduction
Strengthening the capacity of countries for early warning, risk reduction, and management of health and wellbeing risks.
