Data
Computer information that is either transmitted or stored, appearing in numerous forms such as numbers, text, or pictures.
Bits
The internal form in which data is stored in computers, representing a series of values that are either one or zero.
Qualitative Data
A type of data that consists of descriptive pieces of information, such as "What a nice day it is."
Quantitative Data
A type of data that consists of numerical information, for example, 1 or 3.65.
Discrete Data
A subtype of quantitative data that can take only a specific value.
Continuous Data
A subtype of quantitative data that can have a value within a specific range.
Data Analysis
The process of storing and studying user preferences to create patterns via background algorithms, often used for content suggestions.
Optimized Scheduling
A benefit of data in the entertainment industry involving on-demand scheduling of media streams in digital media distribution platforms.
Effective Targeting
The use of data insights to specifically direct advertisements to the audience in the entertainment industry.
