Self-concept
Your understanding and perception of yourself, including your beliefs, feelings, and thoughts about who you are — shaping how you see yourself in every aspect of life.
Physical Self
A component of self-concept that includes physical appearance, body image, health and fitness, and the growth and changes experienced during adolescence.
Social and Personal Traits
Elements of self-concept involving roles such as being a friend, student, or family member, as well as personality traits like honesty, kindness, ambition, and values.
Abilities and Talents
A part of self-concept comprising natural talents, learned skills, academic strengths, and creative or physical abilities.
Self-image
How you see yourself physically and socially, which can be positive or negative and greatly affects your confidence and behavior.
Self-esteem
Your overall sense of self-worth and value based on how much you value yourself.
High Self-Esteem
A state that leads to confidence, self-assurance, resilience in facing challenges, positive relationships, and a willingness to try new things.
Low Self-Esteem
A state that leads to self-doubt, insecurity, anxiety, negative thinking, difficulty accepting criticism, and avoiding challenges and risks.
Ideal Self
The person you aspire to become, representing your goals, dreams, and values while guiding personal growth and motivation.
Real Self
Who you are now, involving the acceptance of your strengths, acknowledgment of flaws, and your current values, habits, and behaviors.
Personal Effectiveness
The ability to manage yourself and your resources (such as time management, decision-making, and self-discipline) to achieve your objectives.
Time Management
The skill of planning your day with a schedule, prioritizing tasks by importance, and using tools like planners or to-do lists to avoid procrastination.
Goal Setting
The process of setting SMART goals, breaking big tasks into small steps, tracking progress regularly, and adjusting goals when needed.
Self-Discipline
The ability to stay focused on tasks, resist distractions, build consistent habits, and learn from setbacks.
Talents
Natural abilities you are born with, such as artistic, musical, athletic, or creative gifts that come naturally to you.
Skills
Abilities developed through learning, effort, and practice, such as communication, leadership, and problem-solving.
