found in ovaries and kidney tubules, that functions in secretion and absorption. It consists of a single layer of cube-shaped cells.

Simple Columnar Epithelium 

found in the stomach and intestines, that aids in absorption and secretion. It consists of a single layer of tall, column-like cells.

Pseudostratified Epithelium 

found in the respiratory tract, moves mucus secretion and movement of particles. It consists of a single layer of cells of varying heights.

Stratified Squamous Epithelium 

found in areas subject to abrasion, such as the mouth and esophagus. It consists of multiple layers of flat cells. function : protection
