What are the aeronautical experience requirements?

  • 120 Hours in that part of the program

  • 55 Hours of dual instruction

  • 10 Hours of instrument training using a view limiting device

  • 10 Hours of TAA or Complex time

  • 2 Hour day xc with a distance 100nm away

  • 2 Hour night xc with a distance 100nm away

  • 3 Hours in a single engine airplane in preparation for the exam within the last 60 days

  • 5 Hours night VFR with 10 takeoffs and landings at a towered aiport

  • One xc with landings at 3 airports and a 250nm straight line distance between 2 of them

  • 14,001 ft MSL and above: 265 KIAS
