Article I
The section of the Constitution that outlines the structure and powers of the Legislative Branch.
Article II
The section of the Constitution that outlines the Executive Branch.
Article III
The section of the Constitution that outlines the Judicial Branch.
Article IV(4)
The section of the Constitution dealing with State Relations and full faith and credit.
Article V(5)
The section of the Constitution that details Constitution Amendments.
Article VI(6)
The section of the Constitution addressing full government authority and the Supremacy Clause.
Article VII(7)
The section of the Constitution detailing the Ratification of the Constitution.
House of Representatives Qualifications
Requirements requiring a candidate to be at least age 25, a citizen for at least 7 years, and living in the state they represent.

Requirements requiring a candidate to be at least age 30, a citizen for at least 9 years, and living in the state they represent.

Judicial review-The landmark case establishing that laws could be declared unconstitutional.
Treason
The only crime specifically mentioned in the Constitution.
Writ of Habeas Corpus
A legal protection ensuring no unlawful imprisonment by allowing a person to be brought into court to determine if their imprisonment is unlawful.
Bill of Attainder
A law that declares a person guilty without trial.
Ex Post Facto Law
A law that makes an act illegal after it was committed.
Elastic Clause
A clause in Article 1, section 8 that lets Congress pass extra laws as needed; also known as the necessary and proper clause.
Artical 1, section 8, paragraph 18
Necessary and Proper Clause
Another name for the elastic clause.
Presidential Salary
The compensation paid to the President each year during their time in office, which is $400,000.
Impeach
To make a public accusation against an official for a crime committed while in office.
Full Faith and Credit
A constitutional requirement meant to recognize other states' laws and records.
Supremacy Clause
Found in Article VI, paragraph 2, it establishes that constitutional and federal laws are above state laws.
Lame Duck
A president who has a replacement chosen but is still in office, resulting in a loss of influence and political power.
Electoral College
The group that can officially elect the president.
Rule of Law
The principle that everyone must follow the law.
Rule of Man
A system where a ruler holds all power and is above the law.
Federalism
A system of government where power is shared between the federal government and the state.
Checks and Balances
A system designed to keep one branch of government from becoming too powerful.
