Hand Hygiene

ensure the patient fully washes their hands before and after the catch

Prepare Supplies

provide a sterile collection cup with a lid and give 3 benzo wipes

Proper Cleansing (F)

cleanse from front to back on the right middle and left side of your labia with one wipe for each area

Proper Cleansing (M)

If uncircumcised pull down the foreskin the cleanse the tip from in a circular motion once with each wipe

Proper Collection

urinate a small amount before collecting urine in the cup about halfway without toughing the inside surface

Transport

place your collected sample into the specimen drop off with the lid secured and patient info facing inward
