Wings flaps → Retract
Mixture → Idle Cut OFF
Ignition Switch → OFF
Engine Failue Imidiately After Take-Off
Airspeed → 65 KIAS flaps up OR 60 flaps down
Mixture → Idle Cut Off
Fuel Selector → OFF
Ignition Switch → OFF
Wing flaps → As Required
Master → Off
Engine Failure during Flight
Airspeed → 65 KIAS
Carburetor Heat → ON
Fuel Selector → Both
Mixture → Rich
Ignition Switch → Both or start if propeller is stopped
Emergency Landing Without Engine Power
Airspeed → 65 KIAS flaps up OR 60 KIAS flaps down
Mixture → Idle Cut-off
Fuel Selector → OFF
Ignition Switch → OFF
Wing Flaps → As Required (40 recommended)
Master → OFF
Doors → Unlatched Prior to touchdown
Touchdown → Slightly Tail Low
Brakes → Apply Heavily
Precautionary Landing With Engine Power
Wings Flaps → 20
Airspeed → 60 KIAS
Selected field → Fly Over ( look for obstacle and terrain )
Radio and Electrical → OFF
Wing flaps → 40
Airspeed → 60 KIAS
Master → OFF
Doors → Unlatched Prior to Touchdown
Touchdown → slightly tail low
Ignition Switch → OFF
Brakes → Apply Heavily
Engine Fire during Start on Ground
Cranking → Continue (to get a start wich would suck the flame)
If Engine start :
Power → 1700 RPM few minutes
Engine → Shutdown and Inspect
If engine Fails to start :
Throttle → Full Open
Mixture → Idle Cut-Off
Cranking → Continue ( few minutes )
Fire Extinguisher → Obtain
Engine → Secure ( master off, ignition off, fuel selector off)
Fire → extinguish
Fire Damage → Inspect
Electrical Fire In Flight
Mixture → Idle Cut-OFF
All Other Switches (except ignition) → OFF
Vents, Cabin Air/Heat → Closed
Fire Extinguish → Activate
If fire appears out and electrical power is necessary for the continuance of the flight :
Master → ON
Circuit Breakers → Check ( for faulty, do not reset )
Radio and Electrical Switches → ON, one by one with delay
Vents, Cabin Air/Heats → Open when necessary
Cabin Fire
Master → OFF
Vents, Cabin Air/Heat → Closed
Fire Extinguisher → Activate
After Discharging an extinguisher within closed cabin, ventilate the cabin
Land as Soon As Possible
Wing Fire
Navigation Light → OFF
Pitot Heat Switch → OFF
Perform Sideslip to keep the flame away
Static Source Blockage
Alternate Static Source Valve → PULL ON
Airspeed → Consult Calibration at Section 5 POH
Over-Voltage Light Illuminates
Master → OFF’
Master → ON
Over-Voltage Light → OFF
If Over-Voltage Light Illumionates Again :
Flight → Terminate As Soon As Possible
