Classic Form (Big T)
Is from something that is not a regular part of life. It is an unusual or very different experience.
Examples: War Veterans, Severe Accident, Rape, and Incest
Complex PTSD (Bunch of Small T’s)
Exposure to a series of significant traumas typically in a family atmosphere or social atmosphere with significant bullying.
Examples: Substance Abuse, Put Down, Not Being Validated, Constantly Tore Down, and all of these build up.
The Body Keeps Score
It ends up in your body because the trauma is stored there, it makes your body tense and can make you sick with autoimmune disturbances.
Implicit Memory
Many people with this disorder see images. Trauma can float around in the Hippocampus. Also this can take place between the ages of seven and eight years old.
Hippocampus
This is the temporal lobe being responsible for short term memory.
