He was pope from 1978-2005. He is one of the longest reigning popes and the pope who traveled the most. He also began World Youth Days. John Paul II finished implementing Vatican II. He saw Vatican II as a gift to the Church. John Paul II presented to the Church Theology of the Body, his teachings on the human person.

MAGISTERIUM

She was the first United States citizen to be canonized a saint, and founded the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart

John XXIII

(Angelo Roncalli, 1881-1963) called for Vatican Council II. He invited religious leaders from other Christian religions to be observers of the Council in support of ecumenism.
