Spring Balance
A weighing instrument that consists of a metal spring enclosed in a metal or plastic case.
Spring Balance Mechanism
The spring is fixed at one end and has a hook to suspend objects at the other end with an accompanying pointer that moves along a scale to indicate weight readings.
Triple Beam Balance
A weighing instrument that features a flat weighing platform and three beams, each with graduations, that together indicate the mass of an object.
Triple Beam Balance Equilibrium
The state reached when weights are adjusted on the beams until the balance stops swinging, which indicates the mass of the object on the platform.
Top Loading Balance
A weighing apparatus that includes a flat, exposed weighing platform, digital display, a set of operating buttons, and a leveling bubble.
Top Loading Balance Operation
An electronic device that converts the force exerted by the load on the weighing platform into a proportional amount of electrical signal, which is then displayed as a mass reading.
