Line pressures

Wall outlet
A point in the health-care facility where oxygen or other gases can be accessed, often utilizing a quick-connect mechanism.
Quick-connect
A specific type of connection mechanism used to attach clinical equipment to wall outlets.
Flowmeter
An instrument used to measure gas flow that must have a compatible connection to engage with a wall outlet.
Faceplate
The external plate of a wall outlet that covers the internal locking mechanism.
Main shut-off valve
A central valve used to isolate the primary gas supply from the rest of the distribution system.
