Branding
The act of making a product, organization, person, or place easy to recognize as different from others by connecting it with a particular name, design, symbol, set of qualities, etc.
Consumer Behavior
The study of the processes the consumer goes through while selecting, buying, using or disposing products.
Point of sale
A place where something is sold to the public, or the place where someone pays for something.
E-commerce
The business of buying and selling goods and services on the internet
Market Research
Is the process of gathering and analyzing information about customers, competitors, and the market to help a business make better decisions
Business Model
A company´s plan for making a profit by identifying the products or services it will sell, its target market, and its expected expenses
Headhunter
A recruiter or agency that searches for highly qualified candidates to fill specific, high level job positions for employers
Entrepeneur
A person who starts a new business, taking financial risks in the hope of making a profit
Start-up
A young company founded by one or more entrepreneurs to develop a unique product or service and bring it to the market quickly
SWOT Analysis
Strategic planning tool used to evaluate a company´s Strenghts, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats.
Shareholder
Any person, company, or institution that owns at least one share of a company´s stock. Because they own a piece of a company, shareholders are entitled to a portion of the profits and get to vote on major corporate decisions, like electing the board of directors
Cashflow
Is the net amount of cash and cash-equivalents being transferred into and out of a business. It measures a company´s ability to generate cash to pay its bills, fund its operations, and invest in future growth
Income
Is the total money a person or business earns for work, services, or investments
Budget
Is a plan that tracks how much money you earn and spend over a specific time
Balance Sheet
Is a financial statement that shows what a company owns, what it owes, and what it is worth at a specific moment
Globalization
The increasing connection of economies, business and people around the world involving international trade, global markets, cultural exchange, technology and communications, etc.
Nearshoring
Moving production or operations to a nearby country to lower transportation costs, fasten delivery times, improve communication, and reduce risks
Outsourcing
Hiring another company to perform specific business activities such as; customer service, IT support, Accounting, Human Resources, etc.
Supply Chain
The process of moving a product form raw materials to the final customer
Tariffs
Taxes imposed on imported goods that government use to protect local industries, generate revenue and regulate trade
Incoterms
International Commercial Terms that define the responsibilities of buyers and sellers in international trade that determine: Who pays for transportation, Who pays for insurance, Who assumes the risk and at what point does responsibility transfer.

EXW(Ex Works), FOB(Free On Board), CIF(Cost, Insurance and Freight), DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)
Greenwashing
A marketing practice where a company falsely claims or exaggerates the environmental benefits of its products, services, or practices to appear more eco-friendly than it actually is

Means meeting our own needs today without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It focuses on balancing long-terms environmental health, economic growth, and social well-being.
Circular Economy
Economic model focused on eliminating waste and pollution by continuously reusing, repairing, refurbishing, and recycling existing materials and products as long as possible
Logistics
Is the detailed planning, coordination, and movement of resources, goods, or people from one location to another
Supranational Organizations
Are international groups where member countries give up some of their own decision-making power to a higher authority to achieve common goals
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
refers to a company´s commitment to operate in an ethical and sustainable way by considering its impact on society, the environment, and the economy
Artificial Intelligence
Is the ability of computers or machines to think, learn, and make decisions like humans.
Fintech
Is the use of new technology to make banking and financial services faster, easier, and digital
Blockchain
Is a secure, digital ledger that records and stores transactions across shared network of computers without needing a central bank or authority
