a trade union is a group of workers who seek to improve and protect wages for workers and conditions of work.

a person between 15 - 65 with no job actively looking for work and able to start work in the survey week.

people aged 15 and over who are willingly looking for work.

when casual of part-time employers are willing to do more hours.

structural (employee’s uneducated), seasonal (fruit pickers), cyclical (buisness cycle), frictional (looking for better work) and hidden (given up on searching)
long-term unemployent
unemployment for over 12 months or longer usually because of structural changes. Once you are unemployed it becomes difficult to find a job.
effects of unemployment on government, individual and society

society: disconnection of individuals from society

primary industry
extraction of raw materials, farming, used to produce other goods or services
(commodities)
secondary industry
factories where the raw materials are used to produce other items built for consumption.

tertiary industry
involved in the provision of services and utilities
is broken down in quaternary and quinary
quaternary industry
the supply and provision of information, like a media, finance and education.
quinary industry
focuses on the provision of services that substitute for domestic duties of services.
health, hospitality, household services.
