NYA (National Youth Administration)

affordable electricity would improve the standard of living and the economic competitiveness of the family farm; created to bring electricity to rural areas like the Tennessee Valley; many opposed

SSA (Social Security Act)

provided help for people that were old aged, unemployed, or disabled; founded in 1935

WPA (Works Progress Administration)

key New Deal agency that provided work relief through various public-works projects that were temporary

CWA (Civil Works Administration)

Created manual labor jobs for millions of unemployed workers

CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps)

hired unemployed young single men to work preserving the nation's natural resources

Federal Emergency Relief Administration (FERA)

Banking Act of 1935

Home Owners Loan Corporation (HOLC)

was created to refinance home mortgages to prevent foreclosure and stabilize the housing market during the Great Depression.
