Urinary Tract
A system that eliminates waste and excess fluid as urine, consisting of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra.
Kidneys
Bean-shaped organs that filter blood to produce urine, filtering 120-150 quarts daily.
Bladder
A hollow muscular organ that stores urine, normally holding up to 500 mL.
Urinary Incontinence
Involuntary leakage of urine, categorized into types like stress, urge, and functional incontinence.
Antidiuretic Hormone (ADH)
A hormone that signals kidneys to reabsorb water, reducing urine production.
Normal Urine Characteristics
Clear, light yellow, and odorless.
Constipation
Fewer than three bowel movements per week, characterized by dry, hard stools.
Diarrhea
Frequent loose, watery stools, which can lead to dehydration.
Self-Concept
The overarching perception of who a person is, shaped by experiences, emotions, and societal interactions.
Self-Esteem
