Surah Al Fatiha (word-by-word) Translation

بِسْمِ

In the name of

اللَّهِ

Allah

الرَّحْمَٰنِ

the most Kind

الرَّحِيمِ

the most Rewarding

الْحَمْدُ

The Praise

لِلَّهِ

for Allah

رَبِّ

the Rabb

الْعَالَمِين

the worlds.

مَالِكِ

The Master

يَوْمِ

day

الدِّينِ

judgement

إِيَّاكَ

You alone

نَعْبُدُ

we worship

وَإِيَّاكَ

and You alone

نَسْتَعِين

we ask for help.

اهْدِنَا

Guide us

الصِّرَاطَ

Path

الْمُسْتَقِيم

Right, straight.

الَّذِينَ

those who

أَنْعَمْتَ

You have favored

عَلَيْهِمْ

upon them.

غَيْرِ

Other than

الْمَغْضُوبِ

those who earned wrath

عَلَيْهِمْ

upon them

وَلَا

and not

الضَّالِّينَ

who are lost.
