•Composed of a double phospholipid layer, with proteins embedded in the layer

Nucleus

•Control the activities of cell and facilitate cell division

Nucleolus

• A reservoir for RNA

Ribosomes

• A site for protein synthesis

Endoplasmic Reticulum

• Provides passage through transport of substances occurs in cytoplasm

Mitochondria

• Serve as sites of cellular respiration and energy production, store ATP

Golgi apparatus

• Manufactures carbohydrates and packages secretions for discharge from the cell

Lysosomes

• Oval/ spherical bodies in cellular cytoplasm that serve as centers for cellular digestion

Microtubule

• Provide structural support

• maintain cell shape

• act as a railroad for the transport of organelles and vesicles

Cytoplasm

• Provides an organized, watery environment where life functions take place via the activities of the organelles which reside there

Cilia

• Protrusions from the cell membrane that create movement

Nuclear membrane

• Double-layered structure that has openings and regulates transport of substances into and out of the nucleus
