People who came here to USA from other countries

Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882

prohibited further immigration to the United States by Chinese laborers

Quota

A specific number,of immigrants from certain countries or regions who allowed enter the country each year

Aliens

Immigrants living in the country who were not citizens

Native-Born

a person who has citizenship based on birth in the U.S or it's territories

Naturalization

the legal process by which citizens of one country become citizens of another

Legal Aliens

A non-citizen who giving a temporary visa as a residents to work & enter schools

Illegal Immigrants

Those residing in the US without permission from the government.

Refugees

People who flee to another country to escape mistreatment or disaster

Census

A periodic and official count of a country's population.

Demographics

the number of deaths per 1000 people per year

A movement of large numbers of people from region to region to the citie

Increase in the number of people who inhabit a territory or state

Change household and women's roles,older and diverse population, migration

Giving an advantage to one person over another in society
