Crude fibre (CF)

A chemical analysis of a feed sample involving extraction and burning to calculate weight difference.

Crude protein

An estimate of total protein in a feed determined by analyzing nitrogen content and multiplying by 6.25.

Crumbles

Pelleted feed that has been broken into smaller granular pieces.

Cubes

Long or coarsely cut hay compressed into high-density cubes.

Cured

Feed preserved by drying, chemical additives, or other methods.

Degradable intake protein (DIP)

Rumen-degradable protein.
