What are three stages of eating?

Cephallic stage- prepatory and absorpative stage - nutrients recieved both have high insulin and glucose and low glucagon. there is also a fasting phase which holds the opposite features.

3
New cards

whats a study which can be argued against to show the role of blood glucose levels in starting a meal?

Campfield and smith found bgl 8 percent drop. in contrast le mangen found bgl does not vary even during fasting phase.

what is gherlin?

it is a peptide hormone seen to be the key to initiating meal time a very much potent stimulator produced by an empty stomach.

12
New cards

study to show the role of hypothalumus in controllling hunger?

Anand and berbreck, found that electrical stimulation prompted hunger whilst lesions to area stopped meal times.

13
New cards

what two hormones are produced in the lateral hypothalumus
