*Physician grasps the proximal tibia w/ one hand and the distal femur w/ the other. The knee is flexed to about 30*. Tibia is then pulled forward by the grapsing hand. Both sides are compared
Positive finding: tibia continues to move past femur- no endpoint
Phalens sign
numbness or tingling with pressing backs of hands together in acute flexion for 60 seconds
Positive finding meaning: possible carpal tunnel
Tinels sign
"pins and needles" sensation felt when an injured nerve site is tapped
Positive finding meaning: nerve compression or damage
