Persuasion
The act of convincing someone to do or believe something through reasoning or emotional appeal.
Ideology
A way of thinking that influences beliefs about the proper organization of society and how to achieve and maintain societal goals.
Logos
The appeal to logic and reason in persuasion, often involving clear arguments and factual evidence.
Ethos
The credibility or trustworthiness of the speaker or writer as a persuasive element.
Pathos
The emotional appeal used in persuasion, aimed at eliciting feelings from the audience.
Euphemism
A mild or indirect word or expression used to replace one considered too harsh or blunt.
Dysphemism
A derogatory or unpleasant term used instead of a pleasant or neutral one.
Nominalization
The process of converting a verb or an adjective into a noun, which can obscure action and influence perception.
Political agency
The capacity of individuals to act independently and make their own choices in political contexts.
Intertextuality
The relationship between texts, where one text references or is connected to another.
