Stratum Granulosum

Papillary layer

Approximately 80% of the skin's thickness. It is made of dense irregular connective tissue and contains the cutaneous plexus, hair follicles, sweat glands, and sebaceous glands. Deterioration of elastic fibers with aging can lead to wrinkles.
