reduced number of platelets due to bone marrow cancer or radiation

Impaired liver function

decreased clotting factors due to vitamin K deficiency

Hemophilias

genetic mutations leading to defecting clotting factors

Disseminated intravascular coagulation

Widespread clotting in small vessels leads to depletion of clotting factors & platelets, which also leads to bleeding
