Total Surface Area
The sum of all the areas of all the shapes that make up a 3-dimensional object.
Simple Interest
Interest calculated only on the principal amount, or on that portion of the principal amount which remains unpaid.
Compound Interest
Interest calculated on the initial principal and also on the accumulated interest of previous periods.
Value Added Tax (VAT)
A tax on the value added to goods and services at each stage of production or distribution.
Transformation
A mathematical operation that changes the position, size, or shape of a figure.
Prime Number
A natural number greater than 1 that cannot be formed by multiplying two smaller natural numbers.
Rational Number
A number that can be expressed as a fraction a/b where a and b are integers and b is not zero.
Cuboid
A three-dimensional geometric figure bounded by six rectangular faces.
Reflected Shape
A shape produced by flipping a given shape over a line, creating a mirror image.
Mixed Number
A whole number and a proper fraction combined to make a new number.
