Contributive Modality
Integrates people who exercise their activity in National territory.
Non-Contributive Modality
A modality for individuals who have not contributed to the Social Security system.
General Regime
A social security category for those who work habitually in National territory for an employer (cuenta ajena).
Special Regime
A social security category for self-employed individuals (autónomos).
INSS (Instituto Nacional Seguridad Social)
The entity responsible for economic benefits within the Social Security system.
INGESA (Instituto Nacional Gestión Sanitaria)
Provides health benefits in the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla.
IMSERSO (Instituto Mayores y Servicios Sociales)

TGSS (Tesorería General de la Seguridad Social)

ETT (Empresa de Trabajo Temporal)

A selection instrument involving dynamics and professional tests to evaluate personality and intelligence.
Labor Law Characteristics

A legal principle where courts interpret labor norms in the most beneficial way for the worker.

Competent body for individual and collective labor conflicts.
Employment Contract
An agreement where one person commits to provide services in exchange for remuneration.
Periodo de Prueba (Trial Period)
A limited duration to check contracting convenience; max 6 months for technicians and 2 months for others.
Fixed-Discontinuous Contract
An indefinite contract for seasonal work or activities linked to specific seasons.
TRADE (Trabajadora Autónoma Económicamente Dependiente)
A self-employed person who is economically dependent on a single client.
