Convenience sampling
Select members of the population who are most accessible or readily available.
Simple random sampling (srs)
The best sampling, when each member of the population has an equal chance of being selected, and all samples of the same size have the same chance of being selected.
Systematic sampling
List the population members and select a sample according to a random starting place (use a random number generator) and a fixed interval.
Stratified sampling
Divide the population into smaller groups (strata) formed based on shared characteristics. You then choose a random sample from each stratum and combine them to create your sample.
Quota sampling
A version of stratified sampling, your samples from each stratum, however, are proportionate in size to the population of that stratum.
