Socialization
The process through which individuals learn and internalize the values, beliefs, and norms of their society.
Mead’s theory of development

Master status

Agents of socialization

Labeling theory

Social mobility

Gender binary
The classification of gender into two distinct and opposite forms of masculine and feminine.
Glass ceiling
An unacknowledged barrier to advancement in a profession, especially affecting women and minorities.
Racial discrimination
Prejudice and unequal treatment of individuals based on their race.
Privilege
A special right or advantage granted to a particular group.
Color-blind racism
The belief that ignoring racial differences promotes racial harmony, often leading to the perpetuation of racial inequality.
