Pulmonary artery catheter (PAC)
Is a long plastic IV tube inserted into the internal jugular or the femoral vein and passed through to the pulmonary artery to provide accurate and continuous measurement of pulmonary artery pressures and detect subtle changes in the patients cardiovascular system
Intracranial pressure monitor (ICP)
Measures the pressure exerted against the Skull by brain, tissue, blood or cerebral spinal fluid
Arterial monitoring line (A line)
Is a catheter inserted into an artery to measure blood pressure continuously or to obtain blood samples without repeated needle punctures

Intravenous feeding (IV)
These are Feeding devices that may be necessary to provide nutrition for clients who were unable to choose swallow or ingest food
Total parental nutrition (TPN)
This is an IV feeding and hyper fermentation device used to infuse the total calories or nutrients
Infusion pump
Which administer fluids and nutrition at a pre-selected consistent flow rate
Urinary catheter
Is used to remove urine from the bladder when the patient is unable to control its retention or release
