Field
A region or space under the influence of some physical force.
Gravitational Field
The region around a mass where it exerts an attractive force on other masses.
Magnetic Field
The space around a magnet where magnetic forces can be detected.
Electric Field
A field around charged particles where they exert force on other charged particles.
Electromagnetic Field
A field produced by electrically charged objects that affects other charged objects.
Scalar Field
A field that has only magnitude and no direction, such as temperature.
Vector Field
A field that has both magnitude and direction, such as gravitational or electric fields.
Acceleration due to Gravity
The acceleration experienced by an object due to the attractive force of gravity, varies based on location.
Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation
A law stating that every point mass attracts every other point mass by a force directed along the line of centers.
