Tameion

Chuppah
A Hebrew term for closet meaning a canopy, to cover, or to conceal, specifically referring to a bridal chamber or wedding tent.
Chaphah
The Hebrew root of chuppah, which means canopy or to cover or conceal.
Tallit
A prayer shawl supported by four poles that sometimes serves as a wedding canopy in Jewish tradition.
Cether
The Hebrew word for 'secret place' meaning to hide or be concealed.
Gan
The Hebrew term for garden, derived from 'ganan,' meaning an enclosure or a place that is covered, surrounded, or hidden.
Tree of Life
One of the two trees in the middle of the garden, promising eternal life and referred to as the 'sacrament of eternal life' in Gen.3:22−24.
Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil
A tree in the garden whose fruit corrupted moral discernment and planted doubt in God's word.
Shamar
The Hebrew word for 'guarding' or 'watching,' representing the duty and intercessory work of prayer.
Bdellium
A term for an aromatic resin, pearls, or a precious stone such as crystal.
Pishon
The river that compasses the whole land of Havilah; its name suggests spreading out or puddling.
Gihon
The river that encircles Ethiopia; its name suggests bursting forth or bubbling like an artesian spring.
Hiddekel
The river flowing to Assyria that courses like rapids.
Euphrates
The river associated with breaking forth and creating fruitfulness.
Wisdom
Described in Prov.3:18 as a 'tree of life' that answers 'why' questions and goes to motive, often serving as a metaphor for God or the Holy Spirit.
