My topic is important because these behaviors are now more recently, leading to drug abuse. Many of these children aren’t aware of the consequences or effects that the drug being consumed has on their body, leading them astray from safety and determining their future if nothing continues to be done.

This is a table I made using data from the National Institute of Drug Abuse. The data is from 2023, using 239 high schools and middle schools. As you can see, the percentage of alcohol abuse through grade 8-12th are incredibly alarming.
