Song Dynasty (960-1279)

The Chinese dynasty that placed much more emphasis on civil administration, industry, education, and arts other than military. Distinguished for its advances in technology, medicine, astronomy, and mathematics. Ruled during the "Golden Age" of China. A time of peace, prosperity, and inventions such as gunpowder, printing, and porcelain.

Yuan Dynasty (Mongols)

The Yuan dynasty, officially the Great Yuan, was a Mongol-led imperial dynasty of China and a successor state to the Mongol Empire after its division. It was established by Kublai, the fifth khagan-emperor of the Mongol Empire from the Borjigin clan, and lasted from 1271 to 1368.

Ming Dynasty (1368-1644)

It was perhaps the peak of Chinese civilization with 300 years of peace and prosperity. They improved the Grand Canal, made great porcelain, and under Yong Le encouraged exploration.
