What are the four types of user accounts created during the installation of an operating system?
System Account, Administrator/Super User Account, User Account, Guest Account.
What is the role of System Accounts in an operating system?
System Accounts are used by different services to access system resources and usually can't be interacted with by users.
What privileges does an Administrator/Super User Account have?
The highest level of privilege, which includes changing system files, installing/removing software, managing user accounts, and more.
In Linux, what is the equivalent of an Administrator account?
Super User (SU) or Root.
What are User Accounts typically allowed to do?
Perform tasks authorized by the operating system, which may include creating files and folders and running applications.
What is the purpose of a Guest Account?
To allow temporary access for tasks like browsing the internet, playing games, etc., without making changes to system files.
What distinguishes Local User Accounts from Network User Accounts?
Local User Accounts provide access on an individual computer, while Network User Accounts are managed on a central server for a corporate network.
What is the benefit of using Groups for user account management?
Groups combine users with similar attributes into a manageable organizational unit, simplifying the administration of permissions.
What is the difference between Built-in and User Created Accounts?
Built-in accounts are preconfigured with privileges from the OS installation, while User Created accounts are tailored by administrators to meet specific needs.
