  • February 4th - 11th 1945

  • A wartime meeting where Roosevelt, Churchill ad Stalin agreed to divide Germany Into four zones and allow free elections in Eastern Europe

  • Vague wording led to immediate disagreements over what “free elections” meant

  • July 17 - August 2nd 1945

  • Roosevelt’s was replaced by Truman

  • Churchill was replaced y Attlee

  • Truman secretly told Stalin about the atomic bomb, which destroyed trust. Argument’s erupted over Germany’s reparations and Poland’s boarders.

  • Stalin is established communist “satellite states” by slicing away opposition parties one by one. this broke the Yalta agreement and prompted Churchills 1946 ‘Iron Curtain’ Speech.
