Population

The group expected to make use of use a product. Iphone = broad ranging population, aircraft cockpit = narrow user population

Classification of user

Classifying populations into groups depending on age, gender, physical condition, etc. May include parkinsons, arthuritus, paralysis, etc.

Personae

Fictional constructs/profile of the primary target user/audience of the product.

Secondary personae

A profile of those who are not the primary target audience for a product but whose needs the product should meet.

Anti-personae

A profile of those for whom a product is not designed for.

Use case

Relates to the way in which a a user of a product interacts with its functionality.

Scenario

Imagined sequence of events in the daily life of a persona based on assumptions by researchers and designers.
