Sexual orientation

The way people pursue love, attachment, and connection with people of same or different sex, involving romantic attraction, sexual attraction, sexual arousal, sexual behaviour, and sexual identity.

Sexual fluidity

A phenomenon that occurs more often in women than in men.

Genetics (Origins of Sexual Orientation)

Evidence suggesting homosexuality has a higher concordance rate in identical than non-identical twins.

Hormones (Origins of Sexual Orientation)

Biological factors influencing orientation, such as pre-natal exposure to testosterone.

Environmental influences

Influences that are secondary to biological factors regarding attraction and desire, but have more influence on behaviour and identity.
