What does the creature learn from paradise lost
Realises that God creates man making him jealous or self loathing of a natural ‘birth’ , reinforces his isolation as Adam had Eve but he has no one making him identify more to satan than anyone else
What does the creature learn from the ruins of empire
Humans inevitably ruin everything through greed and corruption (Victor) and how humans can achieve amazing things so quickly but also be ruined just as quick as humans are so flawed - questioning the duality of men reinforcing the rise and fall of indigenous people of great power
What does the creature learn from the sorrows of young Werther
Romantic relationships and friendships and how the protagonist can’t even fall in love (just like him). Showing the duality of what he is missing out on but also not really. The demand and desire for love but love isn’t always reciprocated (unrequited)

Agony
Knowledge of the poisoned challace - knowledge only increases sorrow
