p wave, q wave, r wave, s wave, t wave
p wave
vagus nerve sends message of SA node which contracts the atria muscles
pr segment
pause at the AV node
q wave
nerve goes between intramuscular septum from the bundle of His (these nerves are called bundle branches)
r wave
myocardium around the ventricles starts to receive the message
s wave
ventricular contraction; purkinje fibers help with this contraction
st segment
pause after ventricular contraction
t wave
resets heart for the next beat; shows a pos. to neg. shift has occurred around the myocardium
