What are the caracteristics of the plat kingdom?

• multicellular and eukaryotic. 

• They contain cells with a prominent nucleus and cell walls made of cellulose, a complex carbohydrate (sugar). 

• autotrophic

• Plant cells contain chloroplasts: specialised organelles for photosynthesis containing the pigment chlorophyll. 

• reproduce both sexually and asexually

• respire aerobically.

What’s the classification of plants?

• Bryophytes (mosses)

• Pteridophytes (ferns)

• Gymnosperms (naked seed)

• Angiosperms (enclosed sperm)

Describe Bryophytes

• They are non-vascular plants that reproduce using spores.  

• They have rhizoids: thread like roots that can’t absorb water or nutrients like roots can.
