R&R:

• urgency, burning, dys/uria (diff/urinate) → hema/t/uria (blood/in/urine)

• turbid (cloudy) = UTI (urinary tract infection)

• Noct/uria = incr. night urination

• Olig/uria = scant urine

• Poly/uria = lots of urine

• A/n/uria = no urine

What is a bed pan and slipper pan for? What is the alternate name for a slipper pan?

• Slipper pan (fracture pan) → supine → 4 immobile female 2 void → i.e hip fracture /bad back

How to insure commode safety?

• Never tie or restrain 2 commode

• Good ability 2 control upper body (trunk contr.)

• No longer than 20-30 mins
