Brachiocephalic nerve innervation

Brachiocephalicus

-Cutaneous branch supplies autonomous zone around the cranial, craniolateral, and craniomedial parts of the brachium

Suprascapular nerve innervation

-Supraspinatus and infraspinatus

-Dogs: no sensory innervation

-Cats: sensory innervation

Subscapular nerve innervation

Subscapularis

Axillary nerve innervation

-Subscapularis, teres major, teres minor, deltoideus

-Cutaneous branch on lateral aspect of the scapular and brachial regions

Musculocutaneous nerve innervation

-Biceps brachii and brachialis

-Cutaneous branch (Medial cutaneous antebrachial nerve) in craniomedial proximal 3/4ths of the antebrachium

Radial nerve innervation

Triceps, anconeus, antebrachial extensors, supinator

-Deep radial nerve: supinator and antebrachial extensors

-Superficial radial nerve: cranial and lateral surface of the forearm and dorsal carpus, metacarpus, and digits

Median nerve innervation

Cranial division of the median/ulnar trunk

-Pronator teres and antebrachial flexors

-Sensory innervation for palmar aspect of the paw

Ulnar nerve innervation

Caudal division of the median/ulnar trunk

-Antebrachial flexors

-Sensory innervation for caudal surface of the antebrachium and distolateral paw; palmar aspect of the paw

Pectoral nerve innercation

Deep and superficial pectoral muscles

Thoracodorsal nerve innervation

Latissimus dorsi

Long thoracic nerve innervation

Serratus ventralis

Accessory nerve innervation

Omotransversarius, trapezius, proximal aspects of the brachiocephalicus

Dorsal branches of cervical and thoracic spinal nerves innervation

Rhomboideus
