Land used to produce and manufacture products

Commercial land use

Land used to sell final goods or services

Residential land use

Land used for people to live on

Recreational land use

Land used for people to relax on (parks)

Sustainability

use of Earth’s resources in a way that ensures that those resources will be there in the future

Renewable resources

Resources that can be replaced (crops and trees)

Nonrenewable resources

Resources that cannot be replaced (oil, gas, fossil fuels)
