Phalanges
14 bones of the fingers, including distal, intermediate, and proximal segments.
Metacarpals
Long bones of the hand, numbered I-V.
Carpals
8 small bones of the wrist.
Scaphoid
One of the carpal bones located near the base of the thumb.
Lunate
A carpal bone located in the center of the wrist.
Triquetrum
A carpal bone located on the ulnar side of the wrist.
Pisiform
A small carpal bone sitting on top of the triquetrum.
Trapezium
A carpal bone located near the base of the thumb.
Trapezoid
A carpal bone located next to the trapezium.
Capitate
The largest carpal bone, located under the middle finger.
Hamate
A carpal bone located next to the capitate.
Ulna
The bone located on the little finger side of the wrist.
Radius
The bone located on the thumb side of the wrist.
Humerus
The large bone of the upper arm.
Carpometacarpal Joint
Joint between carpals and metacarpals providing stability.
Metacarpal Phalangeal Joint
Joint between metacarpals and phalanges, commonly known as knuckles.
Interphalangeal Joint
Hinge joint between phalanges that allows flexion and extension.
Distal Radioulnar Joint
Wrist joint between the radius and the ulna.
